Privacy Policy

The short version

Nunzio has no accounts and no analytics. Your voice is recorded on your phone, scored on your phone, and deleted. Your progress stays on your phone. We do not receive it, and we have no way to know who you are.

1. Who we are

Nunzio ("we", "us") publishes the Nunzio — Accent Coach app and is responsible for this policy. We operate from Slovenia. For anything in this policy, write to support@nunzio.cc.

2. No account, nothing that identifies you

There is no sign-up, no sign-in and no user profile. We never ask for your name, your email address, your phone number or your country. Nothing in the app identifies you to us.

3. Your voice

The app asks you to read a sentence aloud and records it while you speak. That recording:

• stays on your device;
• is scored by a speech model that runs on the device itself;
• is deleted as soon as the score is produced.

Recordings are never uploaded, never sent to a server, and never listened to by anyone. In practice mode — when the app has no speech model installed — the recording is discarded without being scored at all.

4. Your progress

Your practice sessions, your individual sentence attempts and your accuracy per sound are stored in a database inside the app on your device. This never leaves the device, unless you back up your phone yourself; in that case the backup is governed by Apple's or Google's terms, not ours. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.

5. When the app uses the network

Two things, and nothing else:

• Downloading the speech model. The first time you practise, the app downloads its speech model once from Cloudflare R2. No personal data is sent with the request. As with any file download, the content delivery network sees the request and the IP address it came from.
• Subscriptions. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat as the billing intermediary that checks whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated anonymous app user id and the store's transaction receipt. It never receives your name or your email address. Your payment details are handled by Apple or Google and are never visible to us.

6. What we do not do

The app contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no Firebase and no crash reporting. We do not build profiles, we do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not sell or share your data with third parties.

7. Children

The app is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone. Since there is no account and no identifying data, we hold nothing about any user, child or adult.

8. Your rights under the GDPR

We are established in Slovenia, so European data protection law applies. You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Slovenia, the Information Commissioner (ip-rs.si).

In practice these rights have very little to act on: because there are no accounts, we hold nothing on our side that is linked to you. The data the app produces is on your device, where you can read it in the app and erase all of it by uninstalling. If you want to be sure, write to us and we will confirm what is and is not held.

9. Changes to this policy

If the app changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. The version on this page is always the current one.
